JENNIFER LAENGERT, B.MUS., J.D.
Lawyer and Notary Public
Jennifer prides herself on providing friendly and personalized service to her clients, primarily in the areas of residential real estate, estate planning, and notary services for individuals; however, she also enjoys working with small businesses on contract and business organization matters.
Jennifer took a bit of a roundabout route to becoming a real estate and estate planning lawyer. She began her career as a musician, obtaining a music degree in voice and music history (popular music studies) from the University of Western Ontario and completing Fanshawe College’s acclaimed Music Industry Arts program. Before law school she worked in the music industry, issuing mechanical licences and processing royalty payments on behalf of music publishers.
During her studies at Osgoode Hall Law School, Jennifer volunteered and later summered at a top entertainment law firm, where she worked on files for internationally-known artists and played a key role in obtaining music clearances for a national television show. She then articled at a full service law firm in downtown Toronto, where she gained experience in corporate/commercial law, litigation, real estate, and wills and estates.
Following her articles, Jennifer found her niche in assisting clients with residential real estate and estate planning matters. She soon launched Laengert Law and has enjoyed working with her growing client base. Because she builds her business primarily on referrals, she strives to ensure that each of her clients is pleased with the service they have received.
Outside of her law practice, Jennifer continues to make music, she is involved in volunteer and leadership activities with her local church, and she enjoys baking, languages, yoga, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. She also loves to travel, having visited many parts of North America and Europe and having lived in Europe for 8 months. In 2002, 2014, and 2017 she traveled to Zambia, Africa to volunteer with the Faith Orphanage Foundation, an organization which continues to hold a special place in her heart.
