About Laengert Law Professional Corporation

I pride myself on providing friendly and personalized service to my clients, primarily in the areas of residential real estate, wills and estates, and notary services.

I started Laengert Law from the ground up in 2014, shortly after my Call to the Bar in 2013. Since then my small firm has grown from a true sole-proprietorship to taking on support staff with ever-growing roles. I’ve built this business on referrals and am happy to continue to serve many repeat clients and a growing base of their friends and family.

As of June 1, 2022 I will also be taking over the law practice of Dana Dyment when she retires. Dana has served this community faithfully for many years and has a dedicated client base, and it’s an honour to be asked to continue her legacy. My staff and I are pleased to welcome Dana’s clients and we hope that we will have the privilege of working with you for years to come. Please click here for a letter from Dana.

Like Dana, my areas of practice are residential real estate, wills and estates, and notary services.

About Jennifer Laengert

Prior to starting Laengert Law I articled at a full service law firm in downtown Toronto, but I took a bit of a roundabout route to becoming a real estate and wills and estates lawyer. I began my career as a musician, obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree in voice and music history (popular music studies) from the University of Western Ontario and completing Fanshawe College’s acclaimed Music Industry Arts program before working in the music industry issuing mechanical licences and processing royalty payments on behalf of music publishers. While studying at Osgoode Hall Law School I volunteered and summered at a top entertainment law firm, where I worked on files for internationally-known artists and played a key role in obtaining music clearances for a national television show.

Outside of my law practice I continue to make music, I’m involved in volunteer and leadership activities with my church, and I enjoy baking, languages, yoga, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. I also love to travel, having had the opportunity to explore many parts of Europe, North America, and Africa between family vacations, exchange semesters, and being lucky enough to have married a South African. My husband and I try to visit his family in South Africa annually, and I’m truly enjoying being initiated into South African food and culture as well as trying to pick up Afrikaans. Over the course of the past twenty years I’ve also had the opportunity to visit, support, and work with the Faith Orphanage Foundation in Zambia, which is a Zambian-founded and run organization that does tremendous development work.

I’m a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
